Mainly hot & dry weather to prevail in most parts of country: PMD


ISLAMABAD, May 14 (APP): The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday forecast mainly hot and dry weather for most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.

Very hot weather would prevail in central and southern parts, while rain-wind/thunderstorm was likely in central districts of Balochistan at isolated places during evening/night, the PMD said.

According to the synoptic situation, continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country.

During the last 24 hours, hot and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country, and very hot in southern parts.

The highest maximum temperatures recorded were: Dadu 47C; Jacobabad 45C; Sukkur, Sibbi, Rohri, Mohenjo Daro, Larkana, Khanpur and Khairpur 44C; and Rahim Yar Khan, Turbat, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mithi, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar 43C.
