ISLAMABAD, Jul 22 (APP):Superintendent National Highways and Motorway Police Headquarters Mubashera Javed has said that adherence to traffic rules was essential to avoid accidents and ensure road safety.
Addressing a road safety seminar organized by the Road Safety Awareness Unit (RSAU) of the National Highways and Motorways Police Headquarters Zone at a local hotel on Monday, she said that road safety was a collective issue which required serious efforts by all segments of the society.
Mubashera stressed that observance of traffic rules and road safety measures would save precious human lives and property.
Motorway Police’s Road Safety Awareness SPOs Younus Nawaz, Nabila Yasmin and Asifa Gilani also highlighted the importance of following traffic rules in road safety. Coordinator Hotel Management Training Aqeel Ahmed appreciated the efforts of the National Highway and Motorway Police in creating awareness about road safety. A quiz show was also organized on the occasion and prizes were distributed among the winners.
