ISLAMABAD, Jul 02 (APP):Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and humid weather for most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
However, rain windstorm/thundershower is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, upper Punjab, Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Balochistan and southeast Sindh.
According to the synoptic situation, moist currents from Arabian sea were penetrating upper parts of the country and likely to strengthen from Wednesday.
During the last 24 hours, rain-windstorm/thunderstorm occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, upper Punjab, and Barkhan. Hot and humid weather prevailed over other parts of the country.
The rainfall recorded was Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa: Balakot 35mm, Saidu Sharif 27, Malam Jabba 26, Kakul 02, Dir (Lower and Upper 01), Kashmir: Rawalakot 13, Garhi Dupatta 03, Balochistan: Barkhan 04, Punjab: Murree, Narowal 01mm.
The highest maximum temperatures recorded were Sibbi 48C, Turbat, Dalbandin 47, Bhakkar, Jacobabad, Nokkundi 46C.
