ADC assures business community to address concerns in anti-encroachment operation


ISLAMABAD, Jul 10 (APP):In a significant move to reclaim public spaces, Islamabad’s Acting Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Rana Waqas chaired a meeting on Wednesday focused on the ongoing anti-encroachment operations in the city.
Business leaders from various sectors attended the meeting, along with the Additional Deputy Commissioner and other senior officials, said the spokesman of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration.
During the meeting, officials provided updates on the operations targeting illegal structures.
The anti-encroachment operations have been carried out in multiple areas, including D-12, the I-8 Markaz, IJP Road, G-12, Lehtadar Road, Khanna Pul, and G-11 Markaz.
The business community voiced their concerns about the impact of these operations on their activities. In response, the acting DC reassured them, addressing their reservations and emphasizing the importance of the campaign.
The acting DC stated that the anti-encroachment drive would continue across Islamabad.
He highlighted the need to clear these illegal structures to restore the city’s charm and called for cooperation from all residents and business owners in these efforts.
