ISLAMABAD, Jul 09 (APP):58th Meeting of Medical Assessment Board of CRPD (council on the rights of persons with disabilities), Ministry of Human Rights held at NIRM
The 58th meeting of the Medical Assessment Board (MAB) of the Council on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), under the Ministry of Human Rights (MOHR), was successfully conducted on Tuesday at the National Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (NIRM).
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Faridullah Khan Zimri, Chairman of the Medical Assessment Board and Senior Orthopedic Surgeon at NIRM.
During the session, sixty-four (64) special persons were thoroughly examined by the MAB, and disability certificates were issued accordingly.
These certificates will facilitate their access to various services and benefits.
In addition, several service delivery departments, including NAVTTC, the Social Welfare Department, NIRM, DGSE, and SSMC Polyclinic, set up information desks at the event. Representatives from these departments briefed the persons with disabilities (PWDs) about the array of services they offer, ensuring that attendees were well-informed about the support available to them.
Furthermore, the case history forms (Part-II) were completed after conducting interviews with the PWDs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their individual needs and conditions.
The Ministry of Human Rights remains committed to enhancing the well-being and rights of persons with disabilities through such initiatives, promoting their integration and participation in society.
