MULTAN, Jul 02 (APP):The Local Drugs Court awarded imprisonment up to seven years to the accused was booked in case of selling unegistered and counterfeit drugs.
The accused named Answer Abbas son of Ghulam Abbas was further held bound to submit fine worth Rs 26.1 million.
The case number 89/24 was registered in DG Khan on report of Drugs Controller, Faisal Mehmood with the Drugs Court here.
Chairman Drugs Court, Mohammed Salimullah, said to have announced the judgement on basis of evidences recorded in the court.
Meanwhile the Drugs Court released its three- month performance report. According to which 485 cases were trialed in aforesaid time period.
About 469 cases were resolved to which up to Rs 27.8 millions fined to the accused proved guilty of the crime in the court. Only 16 cases were left pending till date, it was said.
