Fundraiser Art Exhibition “SPERO” opens at PNCA


ISLAMABAD, Jul 22 (APP):A fundraiser art exhibition titled ‘SPERO’ opened at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on Monday featuring display of exquisite collection of paintings by various artists.
The exhibition, arranged for providing free of cost treatment facilities to the patients at Al-Wadood Hospital, was curated by Aasim Akhtar and Mehmood ul Hassan.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by the diplomats, government representatives, artists and people from different walks of life to support the noble cause behind arranging this event.
The exhibition displayed the work of prominent artists including Feheem Abbas, Hamza bin Faisal, Tahira Noreen, Kaiser
Irfan, Jibran Shahid, Naqsh Raj, Unab Sumbal, Mehmood ul Hassan, Irfan Abdullah, Tahir Saleem and Mahad Saddique.
Speaking on the occasion, Zahra Wadood Fatemi, who has established Al-Wadood Hospital through her untiring efforts, said this hospital, for the last 15 years, has been serving as a beacon of hope for the countless individuals and families by providing free of cost medical facilities to them.
She said that the medical staff in the hospital also works with compassion and dedication to serve the patients. “Through a team of skilled medical professionals and a patient centric approach, Al- Wadood Hospital provides a high quality care in a wide range of specialized fields”, she added.
Through its commitment to providing affordable health care services to the patients, the hospital continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those it serves.
Sharing her insight on the exhibition, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ms. Jane Marriott, as a chief guest, said the way Zahra Wadood built this hospital through 15 years long struggle is inspiring for all of us.
She said that the fascinating art pieces displayed in this exhibition, as the title suggests SPERO, gives the message of hope to the thousands of people who are getting treatment from this hospital.
Senior Diplomat, Tariq Fatemi was also present during the ceremony. The exhibition will remain open for the visitors till July 26.
